Why we were astonished by Greece
Globe Watchers — a couple travelling around the world — share why Crete blew them away on their very first travel-vlogger adventure.
Greetings readers!
For those who have been to Greece will totally want to go back after reading this. For those who haven't been to Greece yet — they have to read our following words!
We are Globe Watchers. A couple travelling around the world in order to discover new places and to make vlogs and blogs about it.
So, Greece!
This was actually our first destination as travel-vloggers. Why? Crete is a beautiful destination. Think about sun, sea, Greek food, cosy streets full of activities and flying plates everywhere (that last one might be exaggerated).
Our hotel was located in Chania, the second largest city of the Greek island of Crete. Chania has this cosy little port and I have to say: we adored it.
(Note: You need to pronounce the city as 'Hania' not 'Chania'. A little mistake we only made a thousand times.)
We stayed in Greece for 7 days and we were not bored for a minute!
We hiked the Samaria Gorge, swam in the pink sand of Elafonisi, watched the sunset from the lighthouse in Chania harbour, and ate more dakos and grilled octopus than we thought possible. Greek hospitality is real — you arrive a stranger and leave feeling like family.
If you've been thinking about Greece: stop thinking. Just go.
